If for some reason griffith is unable to download data (e.g. from imdb) the programme hangs completely and has to be killed using some external OS mechanism.
Can this be cured somehow?

I think your internet connection is not configured right.
Do you use a proxy server?

This is not what I mean. Of course, When the internet connection is all right everything works.
The afore mentioned problem arises, when for some reason the connection does not exist.
In this special case, as I said, griffith hangs totally - can't even be closed by clicking the approprate Windows-button in the upper right corner; the only way in Windows is going to task-manager and killing the respective process there. That's what I was talking about and I still believe no programme whatever should behave like that.

I'm having the same problem, but after I've 'killed' it, it won't restart. I get the message:

griffith - a film manager has encountered a problem and needs to close.

    AppName: griffith.exe               AppVer: 0.11.0.0       ModName:  libgtk-win32-2.0-0.dll
    ModVer: 2.16.2.0           Offset: 002148d6

The only way I can get it to start is to re-boot my pc.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
