Hello!
Yesterday I started using this great program and everything worked, but today it doesn't gets the year from IMDb. I've tried to take it from FilmAffinity and it works, but not from IMDb (as it did yesterday).
Thanks

I fixed it in rev. 1406 in the source code repository:
http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/griffith/trunk/lib/plugins/movie/PluginMovieIMDB.py
Replace your original file PluginMovieIMDB.py with the new one.

I just noticed that there might be the same problem with the rating.

rcc

Edit:
I take this back: It seems to be working fine now. I don't know what changed...

It will be included into the next update (probably 0.12). In the meantime you can replace your local file (its inside /usr/share/griffith/lib/plugins/movie/PluginMovieIMDB.py) with the one Mike linked to a couple posts down.

I've edited this plugin and am now updating my database for the movies that are missing dates. I've updated ~20 so far with no problems, but the following title from IMDB refuses to save the date even though I can see that it was fetched properly in the Details tab just before clicking Save.

Try saving the following film via IMDB with the year fix applied:
Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events

Anyone else seeing this?

Didn't test the specific error but did fix a lot of other missing date movies. Noticed that it also fixed a problem with "See More" appended to Genre.

Forum search ("IMDB") to the rescue.

Thanks for the patch.

FWIW.
1)This patch is still required for the Debian/Ubuntu 12.1 package.
2)I initially installed Griffith from the Ubuntu 10.04 repository. Noted that it was version 11 so added the source and updated to 12.1 per the notes in the download instructions. Worked fine except for PUBKEY not defined.

What is the correct procedure for adding the key for the Griffith repository?
