How do you get the amazon plugin to work, it tells me to fill in some secret number?

You need to go to (http://docs.amazonwebservices.com/AWSECommerceService/2007-10-29/GSG/GettinganAWSAccessKeyID.html) and sign-up for a key, its free but some other services are not, so that is why you have to keep it private
