could ESET still be the problem??

Have lots of griffith backup files but cant get to the griffith load stage to import the files

Please start griffith with the "--debug" option. You can do that from the "Debug"-submenu in the griffith startmenu folder.
After that you will get a debug log file in the folder %APPDATA%\Griffith called griffith.log.
Please post the contents here.

You should not use an old version of griffith with a half-migrated database. It's dangerous. The old 0.9 versions doesn't check the database version. So that version starts but doesn't fill up the new fields correctly.

Back to the 0.11 error. It seems to me that something is wrong with the poster images in your database.
Please try to renaming the directory
C:\Users\ormonde\AppData\Roaming\griffith\posters
to
C:\Users\ormonde\AppData\Roaming\griffith\posters.old
and restart griffith.
If it doesn't work please send me a backup of your database so that I can analyze the error.

You can now delete the .old folder. Something was wrong with the poster images in the .old directory. After renaming
griffith regenerates the directory with the images from the database.
