I have a collection of >150 movies and its hard to put each movie by hand.
Is there any script that will read my movie name (from a file say) one by one and create the database in griffith?

Yes.Griffith can import from various formats from other Movie Managers and csv.
In your case, I'd say a csv-import is the way to go.
