Hello,

I would like the drop down lists displayed in the filter row (ie field names, by collections, by saved filters) to show their contents in alphabetical order instead of creation order. I think it would look neater and be more convenient.

Something similar visually to the result of SELECT name FROM main.collections ORDER BY name.

Is this possible ? By changing something in a .py file perhaps?

TIA

Good idea I think.

Apply the changes from rev. 1478

Thank you very much Mike, it works like a charm  Smiley !

But (just to be thorough, as I said it is already much better than before!)… I noticed that in my collections, Éric Rohmer is displayed last in the list after Woody Allen, because of the accented É of course. Is it possible to have it displayed after the D ? Maybe by sniffing the language of the working environment and collating (I think it is the right word?)/sorting accordingly ?

Ooops, sorry, actually it doesn't work as expected, because the content of the input field doesn't match anymore the ordered list of field names.
For instance, by default on my French display, the first field in the list is Année (i.e. Year in English) but the input field to the left is still for the title of the film.

You are right. Little mistake. Fixed in rev. 1482
