Would like to be able to sort/filter my movies by the custom tags that I have added to the movies. I know you can do this through collections but tags would be nicer since you can place multiple tags to one movie but only put that movie in one collection. Ex if I have a animated comedy movie. I have placed a comedy and animation tag to that movie. I can sort and find that same movie under comedy or animation filter.

Thanks for this program its great and has saved me time having to program my own.

I support this wish too.
I am looking for a mediamanager-software which allows tagging. This one does allow tagging, but you can't use your tags.

Sorting by tags and searching by tags would be a really nice feature Smiley

You are absolutely right. That feature should be realized.
I put it on my todo list for griffith.

Thank you, that are great news!!

But I have to ask this dumb question (sorry!!!): Will this be implentet in the next release?
I need this feature for a project which starts in october ;-)

Otherwise I have to look for another software or I have to code a webbased programm by myself.
An approximate estimate would be nice. :-)

I added a combobox for tag filtering. It works like the collection combobox.
That feature will be available with the next release.
But I don't know exactly when the new version will be released. I hope I can do that this month.
But I have to ask the other developers first.

Sorting isn't as easy as filtering. So I hope filtering by tags will fit your needs.

Hey,
now I tried your new version. Thanks for realizing it so quickly Smiley

It's still a litte bit rudimentally, because you can choose just one tag, but much better than no filtering Cheesy

One Idea:
Maybe it would be better, if unused tags (tags which are not assigned to a movie) are not shown in the Tag-Filter-List.

Since griffith 0.10 the search dialog is totally different and supports searching with more than one tag.

Searching by tags is a good idea, but - great as the improved search dialog is - I could not find out how to filter films using several criteria at once.
For example: I am looking for all films where 'country' contains 'us' AND 'year' is '1980'.
Please tell me how this can be done.

Try using the Add button in the Filter / Search panel to enable multiple search fields.
