I don't know when it started, but griffith is not importing pictures from imdb anymore.

No error, but they don't show up. (And yes I checked that imdb has a picture for the movie.)

Thank you for reporting.

IMDB has changed the way they include posters on html code.
We have this fixed now on SVN for upcoming version. You can also try to use the new plugin. See http://svn.berlios.de/wsvn/griffith/griffith/lib/plugins/movie/PluginMovieIMDB.py?op=file&rev=0&sc=0
