Good day all.
I am trying to load 2 instances of Griffith - with 2 different Mysql Databases on 1 machine.
it is a Kubuntu - Gutsy Gibbon machine.

Reason that I need 2 is 1 is my main database  - and 1 is my wishlist database.

Any suggestions on how to go about setting this up?
I suspect that I could have 2 different users - but that is a pain log out and log in each time I want to add something to my wish list - or remove it to my main database after I have purchased it.

Thank you

use '--home' if you want to run them at the same time or just create a backup for both and restore the one you want to use

Sorry Pox, could you tell me more about the --home option. I did not understand what you meant.

I have Griffith installed by the Kubuntu Repo's , so do I need to manually compile an instance too?
OR
do I just run the same instance twice. griffith --home -db griffith2
please help.

Backup and restore of DB is not an option - that would be a serious pain in the butt.

Thanks

preferences -> database -> database -> change name from default "griffith" to something else an voila, you have new (sqlite or any other) database without using save/restore function

other solution (2 instances at the same time):
$ griffith --home ~/.griffith & griffith --home ~/.griffith2 &
