Hi there.

I have just started using Griffith, after checking out the competition. I have hundreds of DVD's, and CD's most containing multiple movies. I have started labeling the disks sequentially (1-100, etc) and have been adding this number to the volume section. My question is this...

how many volumes does Griffith support. can I have 1000 entries? 2000? If there is a limit, how do other people get around it?

Thanks for your insight!

well.. i can provide u with a hint..

eg. i have 5bags.. each contains 40discs.. i've numberred the discs (like 130, which means bag1-disc30).
now in the volume section i've added 101-140, 201-240 etc.. the muvees that are contained in the same discs, have the same volume-number..

& for collections, i group muvees with some comon category under it.. muvees of same category might be in differectnt discs.. click it would show same category discs...

How about adding Catagories like:
Category:  Adult Movies
Collection: Aliens
Volume: 1 Alien

I know there is no Category field but how would I work around that?
I have my x-files collection, my fringe collection - yada yada.

Any suggestions on how I should do this?

Would the GENRE field give you a Category?  It is a searchable field and is automatically populated.
