Hi all:

The problem is , I'm using another simillar program
Do you think I can use my actual database to rebuild a new on griffith ?? or do I have to
remake it completely from the beginning ??

You can export data to CSV and then try to import it in Griffith or (if you know Python a little bit) you can try to create new import plugin.

The program I use cannot export in CSV only HTML.

There are only a small number of options available.
Internally Movienizer use a sqlite 2 database. Griffith supports sqlite 3 out of the box only. An import plugin is possible
but sqlite 2 backend for python 2.5 is needed. Another way is to convert the sqlite 2 db to sqlite 3. But that can not
be done on the fly through griffith. It is not user friendly because it has to be done manually.

The second way which could work is the MS Excel export (called "Reports" in movienizer). The MS Excel export can be saved
as csv in excel. May be that file can be imported. I didn't check it out in detail.

Ok Michael thanks for yr reply but I think I'll have to stay with  movienizer.
I have installed Griffith for a test.Unfortunately I could not get a single movie information of all that I've tried !!!!Dont know why!!! perhaps I did it the wrong way!!! it simply didnt
work at all.

Can you give some more information ? What version of griffith did you test ? What movie plugin ? What movie title did you
try ?
Perhaps you found a bug which can be fixed for other users if you don't want to try it again.

I just installed the new version Griffith 0.10 successfully.

I made a back-up (by safety), removed the 0.9 version and I was very happy to find all my data back in the new version.
Thanks for this great media collection manager

Dear Michael,

I've a database of HTML that is being exported from an earlier version of Graffith. Is there a way that I can use to import it back into the latest version of Graffith?

Many thanks for your help.

Rgds.

Normally, there is no chance to get the data back without some programming overhead.
Please send me your HTML export via email. I will look into it and perhaps I can help you.
